Press Release \\ The winning Home renovation

This renovation curates through design a balanced personal space expressed through movement and cinematic perception. In an era where private space is important, this home was created to allow for family gatherings as much as for discreet separation in a manner that is mindful of how the building occupies its site.

The 2-story home was inadequate and the owners, a family of four, wanted a modern yet flexible space where the outdoor can visually be part of the house.

We’ve choreographed the interior and architectural design to offer a sense of integrative flow. By sculpturally designing functional pieces in a style inspired by nature (the bookcase in the living room) or positioning furniture in an engaging manner to outdoor elements – the breakfast table centered on the pool’s waterfall, you’re constantly reminded of the relationship between the home and the outdoor.

On the second floor, the experience of the bedroom suite is strongly cinematic. As one goes up and moves around, there is no feeling of a room but rather a fluid movement. Furniture and interior elements, all contribute to a play-like space, between daytime and nighttime, reality and dreamland.
